Much more than a mere institution, this precinct stands as a beacon of excellence, serving not only our TLC community but also reaching far beyond its borders to embrace Brisbane’s North.

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College Aquatic Precinct is home to TLC Swim Club and TLC Learn to Swim Sharkies!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Relationships, culture, and heart matter every day at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College. As such we are looking to engage relational Swim Teachers to support the delivery of a quality learn-to-swim program that is at the forefront of culture and community.

Our philosophy is that ‘the best teachers are continual students’. As an inclusive, multicultural community we are looking for individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about empowering swimmers (infants through adults) to build resilience and transform their lives through swimming instruction and water safety.

Candidates for this role must be:

  • Experienced delivering a range of Learn to Swim programs or demonstrate a genuine commitment to pursuing swim teaching as a profession.
  • Passionate about helping our swimmers thrive both in the water and in life.
  • Dedicated to excellence and innovation in swim education.
  • Servant leaders, committed to engaging with and supporting our swimmers and their families.

  2. Email contacts for at least two (2) referees.
  3. Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  4. Current CPR certification.
  5. Current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate.

  • Successful candidates must have the right to work in Australian without restrictions.
  • Candidates available to work weekends will be considered favourably, with the Learn To Swim Program due to commence operating Monday through Saturday in 2024 and Monday through Sunday in 2025.
  • Fitness Industry Award rate, including junior pro rata rates of pay, will apply.
