Relief Teacher and/or Relief Learning Assistant

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College welcomes expressions of interest for relief teaching and teacher aide work across our Primary and Secondary schools at any time during the year.

Vocational Teacher Aide Placements

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College will not be taking on any vocational placements until Semester 2 of 2022.

Candidates enrolled to study a Certificate III in Educational Support can apply for a Vocational Teacher Aide placement at any time during the year, however applications are pooled for consideration as part of two block placements per year.

Block placement one covers Term 1 & 2 and Block placement 2 covers Term 3 & 4.

Places are limited, and successful candidates must be prepared to work across both the Primary and Secondary schools. A vocational placement with the College does not guarantee employment with the College on completion of your course.

Secondary Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide)

We invite candidates to apply for the position of Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide).

This will be a permanent part-time appointment commencing in January 2025, with the successful candidate to work 35 hours per week across a 39-week term time.

As a Learning Assistant, you will aspire to develop the capabilities of our ‘Lakes Learners’ with the passion and drive to generate knowledge, spark curiosity, build character and promote connection within our inclusive College Community.

Responsible to the Head of Secondary, you will play an important role contributing to the College’s aims and philosophy of developing and delivering a contemporary, innovative curriculum.

As a Learning Assistant, you will be influential and impactful in your assistance and support of positive learning outcomes for our students through evidence-based interventions. You will provide continuity and consistency to the way the College contributes to the learning outcomes of our students through informed and data driven decision making.

The successful candidate must have previous experience supporting a differentiated approach to the needs of students through classroom instruction and intervention that both supports and stretches our Secondary students in Years 7 to 12.

Your timetable will also include providing lunch cover in the Wellness Centre (First Aid Room).

You will need to hold a current PAID Working with Children Card (Blue Card). Candidates with a Certificate or Diploma in Education Support will be considered favourably.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Relationships, culture, and heart matter every day at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College. As such we are looking to engage relational Swim Teachers to support the delivery of a quality learn-to-swim program that is at the forefront of culture and community.
